Choose the Puglia tour that's right for you.
Travel to the charm of Puglia, southern Italy.
White villages, Alberobello and the Trulli – a cycling experience for all the senses.
A journey through white villages, trulli and World Heritage treasures
Puglia is a land of authentic charm, where the Mediterranean light illuminates a landscape rich in history and beauty.
One of the most iconic examples is Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site lined with trulli, conical stone houses that look like something out of a fairy tale.
But there's more to cycling than that.
You can visit hidden treasures such as Ostuni with its beautiful white streets, Lecce, a city of Baroque architecture known as the Florence of the South, the mysterious octagonal castle Castel del Monte, and the ruins of the ancient city of Egnatia overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Pedaling through Puglia is a journey through layers of history, culture and living traditions.
Puglia wine
Puglia's wine culture dates back to ancient Greek and Roman times.
In recent years, it has been attracting international attention as one of Italy's leading wine producing regions.
The most famous grape variety is Primitivo di Manduria.
This rich and smooth red wine, which has been exposed to plenty of sun, is highly regarded overseas.
Other attractive varieties include "Negroamaro" from the Salento region and the elegant "Nero di Troia" grown around Castel del Monte.
For white wines, we also recommend "Verdeca" and "Bombino Bianco," which go perfectly with seafood.
Puglia's wineries combine peasant wisdom with modern technology to offer tasting experiences that tell the story of not only the wine but also the land.
Apulian cuisine
Puglia's culinary culture is full of charm, full of simple ingredients and authentic flavours.
The homemade "orecchiette" is a local symbol, and pairs perfectly with turnip greens (cima di rapa) and a meaty sauce.
Altamura Bread is DOP certified and the tradition of baking in a wood-fired oven is still alive today.
And olive oil. It is said to be the best quality in Italy and is at the heart of all cuisines, from appetizers to fish dishes.
Along the coast, there is an abundance of seafood dishes such as mussels, squid, and octopus, while inland you can enjoy unique cheeses such as "burrata," "caciocavallo," and "canestrato pugliese."
Finally, your trip will conclude with some simple, sweet traditional sweets such as "Pasticciotto Leccese" and "Cartellate."
It's a heartwarming moment, like discovering a home-cooked dish that has been passed down for generations .
