Sardinia

Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean, captivates with its dreamy beaches and European elegance.
Once a "forgotten island," the Costa Smeralda now attracts yachts and sophisticated travelers.
Turquoise waters, hidden coves and white sand beaches

It is comparable to Amalfi and Saint-Tropez.
The quiet and wild islands off the coast are reminiscent of the hidden reaches of the Tuscan archipelago.

A journey through ancient villages, nuraghe and authentic UNESCO Sardinia

Sardinia is more than crystal clear waters and pristine beaches. The island is steeped in millennia of history, and every street tells a story. One of its most iconic sites is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Su Nuraghi di Barmini, a Bronze Age stone tower that still stands as a testament to the unique Nuragic culture.

Traveling by bicycle will reveal even more treasures. Alghero, a town of Catalan origin facing the sea, is captivating with its beautiful walls and historic streets. Castelsardo, with its cliff-top houses, resembles a floating Christmas village on Asinara Bay. Gulf of Chia on the south coast captivates visitors with its golden sand dunes and turquoise waters, and Carloforte is a fishing town steeped in Ligurian culture. A road trip through Sardinia is an experience that immerses you in a magnificent mosaic of culture, scenery, and serenity.

Sardinian wine

Sardinia's wine culture has been nurtured by the sun and Mediterranean winds known as "Maestrale." The most representative variety is "Cannonau." This grape is said to be the oldest in the Mediterranean, spicy and rich in polyphenols. It is said to be the secret to the island's longevity.

In the northeast, "Vermentino di Gallura DOCG" is produced, a refreshing, mineral-flavored white wine perfect for fish dishes. In the southwest, "Carignano del Sulcis" is grown in sandy fields and produces an elegant, deep red wine. Other wines to enjoy include the mellow, sweet "Malvasia di Bosa" and the gentle-flavored "Monica."

Sardinia's wineries, many of which are family-run, combine tradition and innovation in a wild landscape, and tastings are more than just a taste experience; they are a moment of immersion in the island's pride and history.

Sardinian cuisine

Sardinia's food culture, nurtured in a land surrounded by sea and mountains, is known for its simple yet deep flavors. The specialty, "Currugiones," is handmade semolina pasta stuffed with potatoes, pecorino cheese, and mint, and its beautiful appearance highlights the craftsmanship.

"Pane Carasau" is a crispy thin bread, a preserved food that shepherds used to carry around. Sardinia's signature cheese, "Pecorino Sardo," is delicious in both aged and fresh varieties.

Popular seafood dishes include "Bullida," a fish soup, and Catalan-style lobster. For dessert, "Ceardas," a deep-fried pastry filled with cheese, and "Parduras," with the aroma of ricotta and citrus, are must-try.

Each dish is deeply connected to the rhythm of the seasons, the grazing of sheep and the wisdom preserved by Sardinian women: eating in Sardinia is more than a taste; it is a cultural experience.
